My doctoral research explores the films, music videos, advertisements and installations of interdisciplinary filmmaker Kahlil Joseph. The director has collaborated with musicians Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, FKA Twigs, Flying Lotus, Sampha, Shabazz Palaces and Shafiq Husayn as well as fashion labels KENZO and Vans.

I hold a three-year SOAS PhD research scholarship and have received the SAVAnT@CHASE Travel Award and a Santander Mobility Grant. My MA thesis - 'Kahlil Joseph, New Media and the African Diaspora' - won the SOAS School of Arts Postgraduate Dissertation Prize 2018 and two journal articles based on this research are currently being reviewed for publication.

I split my time in London between researching, writing, filming, tweeting and Instagramming for Screen Worlds, SOAS CCIMSS, UoL Screen Studies Group and various other clients and collaborators, converting my academic knowledge into practical assistance. I also manage the Youtube page for SOAS CCIMSS.
